Manga Lettering
Since the summer of 2026, I have been working as a manga letterer for the Spanish editions of various titles. I will be posting the titles in the gallery above as they get published. This is a team work involving translators, proofreaders, editors, and others.
May the Universe Be Your Home!
May The Universe Be Your Home! is the first graphic memoir to tell the little-known history of the German minority in the Soviet Union — a story of deportation, erased identity, and the search for belonging.
An international team was behind this graphic novel: the book was written and created by Lena Wolf from London (UK), illustrated by Christoph Heuer (Germany), and coloured by me, Ester Salguero, (Spain). The cover was created by Oksana Drachkovska, a Ukrainian artist who became a refugee herself.
I have spent two years working mainly on this graphic novel, taking care of coloring, lettering and book layout in 3 languages: English, German, and Russian.
Published by Kazakhgerman. The book is winner of 1st Place – German Prize for Forced Migration, Displacement and Integration, 2025
Disney Cinestories
From 2014 to 2016, I worked on adapting several movies and TV series—mostly from Disney or Disney-Pixar—into comic books called cinestory books, including: Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, 101 Dalmatians, Inside Out, Frozen, Big Hero 6, The Good Dinosaur, Gravity Falls, DuckTales, Gargoyles, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Descendants: Wicked World, Zootopia, Snow White, Cars, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory…
From Lucasfilm: Star Wars Rebels; and from DreamWorks: Kung Fu Panda 3
The process involved designing the book’s interior layout, composing the pages using the original film frames, then adding dialogue in speech bubbles and sound effects according to the script, and finally preparing the layouts for printing.
Published by Joe Books in collaboration with Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and DreamWorks.
